Holy Crap, he could not win....
One might safely assume that this is NOT an enlistment "film"---but then again, with the French---who knows???

I'd say there are a lot of French soldiers in heaven...all shot in the back!

Well, Mushy..not all of them in the back...some of the ones who survived the disorderly retreats were decimated..by firing squads
