I love the hell outa this tune. Never forget hearing it for the first few times, as a sprouting, eager young lad, totally turned on by the idea of a clueless guy being taken on by an older woman. Half listening to the words, diggin' the music till the line, "I bet I'm a man and so is Lola, lo lo lo lo Lola." Whoa, what the hell did he say? So totally kinky and hilarious, and a rock classic for the ages.

My female boss was trying to seduce me with this song once talking about older women..I tolder her lola was a dude and ruined the moment.

This song always made me giggle when I was a kid.
The Kinks rock.
Never liked the song, but have sung along while drinking before...so, it was good for something.
The best part of the video is the National "steel bodied" Guitar the ugly lead is holding.
I say holding, cause I don't know if he can play some blues on that thing or not!
I love this song. I used to sing to it before I even understood what that last line meant. The Kinks are a great band.
