boonies. Tankers always have to think about the fact that they
are rollin 70ish ton behemoths around on roads built for horse
carts, or less. It's one of the perennial hazards they face.
But then again...
they can just as easily have issues rollin them around in the
dry hills of Texas. First picture is from the Global Security site.
The second was sent to me by a buddy who worked on Ft. Hood
as a computer tech. Don't get me wrong, these tanks are the hottest
shit rollin, but they can have their boo boos with their vehicles
just like we can. Repairs just cost a bit more.

Yeah, I've seen some of those pics too. They did that in Germany with a HMMWV. It stuck in the mud and I wonder how they ever got it out LOL.
Things like that can happen, we are all human and ain't perfect :o)

Tanker- Yep. My point was, we all have fender benders. Yours are just really, really big and expencive.

As a m]Master Gunner, lemme tell you that "fender benders" happen all too often.
But like you said, it's a 70-ton tank...so who cares? No blood, no foul.
The second picture... the rear tank was being pulled by the first. Towbar snapped... a 70 ton tank is hard to stop when the final drives have been pulled.
Did I say "hard to stop"?
I mean..."impossible".
