Her husband passed away. She'll probably be out of commission for a while, understandably, but her friends out here in the bloggosphere will try to provide some comfort if they can.
I was thinkin' about a song I heard just the other day at that concert Denise and I attended. When I heard Alison Krouss start to sing this I almost wept openly. It's one of my very favorites, and I wasn't expecting her to sing it. The surprise just about knocked me out. So this is for Lin, and for Mark. We all love you baby.

Yes, I hated to hear that, too. Didn't really know what to say, but I found a few "letters" to reply with, anyhow.
She knows where to "click", when she feels up to it...!
I don't know the folks, of course, but I'm offering up a prayer for them right now.
Done. God bless.
You, Mr FHB, are a good man, this is a very nice post, I stopped by Lin last post to offer condolences.
This is Lin & Mark's friend, Harmonica Joe. I am utterly stunned by this. Thanks to all that provide Lin some comfort.
I was performing last weekend, and did the Memphis Slim song "Mother Earth". I had no idea it would have such close meaning for me today.
Much is still a mystery to me, but time will provide. I am so glad I took the opportunity for a sidetrack visit last April.
Heartfelt prayers and love.
Thank you, Jeff, my little bro, and to all of you dear souls, friends and unmet friends who have shown Mark and I such kindness and consideration. It has helped an awful lot in this nightmarish turn of fate and I hope that none of you have to ever endure a best friend leaving so soon and unexpectedly - may those wonderful years run long for you.
I am so sorry to hear of her loss, Jeff. You are a dear friend, I am sure your thoughts and support will be of some comfort for her at this sad time.
